250 g trimmed and chopped Swiss chard stems
1 clove garlic, peeled
60 g tahini (sesame paste)
60 mL (¼ cup) extra virgin olive oil
30 mL (2 tbsp.) fresh lemon juice
salt and pepper, taste

Directions

In a large pot, cook Swiss chard stems for about 20 minutes or until tender. Drain.
Use a food processor to purée garlic and Swiss chard stems, then add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
Serve in a bowl with a drizzle of olive oil and pita bread.
