In October 2014, nearly 450 people from over 200 Sobeys Québec suppliers gathered at Montreal’s Palais des congrès to attend our first nutrition forum, The Joy of Eating Better: Time to Take Action.

Speakers from government, the medical community, the food processing industry, and local businesses joined us to share their thoughts and discuss our new corporate vision.

In view of the success of our first edition, we’d like to take a moment during this, the first anniversary week of our Joy of Eating Better movement, to invite our suppliers to the second edition of this tailor-made forum, to be held in October 2016.

With the help of our partners, we want to build the food supply of tomorrow by pursuing our successful collaboration and working towards our long-term goal of improving the nutrition of Quebecers.

Last year, we received an impressive number of responses to the survey sent out the day after the event. The results revealed that:

• 99% of suppliers in attendance were very satisfied with the organization and logistics of the forum
• The content met or exceeded the expectations of 94% of attendees
• 65% of respondents felt that participating in the forum got them interested in contributing to better consumer nutrition and sparked discussions within their own companies
• 93% would participate in a second edition of the forum!
