To use the online grocery, the first step is to create your account. Don't forget to activate it using the confirmation email!

ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS

Do I need an account to shop for groceries online?

Yes. In order to complete your online grocery shopping, you must have an existing account or create a new one. Your personal information and your delivery information will be stored for all future orders.

After creating a new account, you will receive an activation email. You must use the link included in this email to confirm the creation of your account, then you will be able to log in to place an order.

How does online grocery payment work?

You will be able to pay for your order directly online or upon receipt of your order, if the latter option is offered by the selected store.

To make an online payment, you must have a billing address in Canada, and it must be the same as the credit card address registered with your financial institution.

For payment upon receipt of your order, you have the choice between cash, debit or credit, depending on the payment methods accepted by the selected store.

For online payment, an amount corresponding to the order total plus 25% will be pre-authorized on your credit card. Once your order is assembled and the transaction has been completed at checkout, the actual order total will be charged to your card.

What happens if a product I ordered is no longer available?

Although we continually ensure that our product inventory is updated, there may be times when a product is not available at your selected IGA store. If a product is not available, we will follow the substitution option that you selected in the Substitution section of your Account Preferences.

For any questions regarding the products substituted in your order, contact your IGA merchant directly. Consult your store's file for contact information.

You can also change your product substitution preferences in your shopping cart or in your account. In your shopping cart, you can choose a different substitution option for each product in the event that some are not available during in-store assembly.

In your account, you can also choose the same substitution option for all products. The substitution options are as follows:

  • Call if substitution;
  • Equivalent substitution and no call;
  • No substitution and no call.

What should I do if I forgot to add a product to my order or if I want to change it?

To modify an order after receiving a confirmation email, contact your IGA merchant directly. Consult your store's file for contact information.
