HOW TO MAKE A DELICIOUS DALGONA COFFEE

Easy to make, there’s just one rule you absolutely must follow: you need to use instant coffee—not ground coffee. This is the key ingredient for the creamy mousse this coffee is known for, and it makes for a most indulgent experience.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. (10 mL) instant coffee
  • 2 tbsp. (10 mL) sugar
  • 2 tbsp. (10 mL) boiling water
  • 2 cups (500 mL) Laiterie Chagnon Barista milk
  • A few ice cubes

Preparation:

  1. 1. In a bowl, pour the coffee, sugar, and boiling water.
  2. 2. Whip the mixture by hand or in a stand mixer until you get a dense creamy texture (about 2 minutes). You’ll know it’s ready when it’s smooth, with a light caramel colour.
  3. 3. Taste and add sugar if necessary to cut the bitterness.
  4. 4. Pour the milk into a tall glass filled with ice cubes and top with your coffee mousse.
  5. 5. Enjoy!
