These syrupy roasted strawberries infused with vanilla flavour taste exquisite on a sundae!
- With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large baking dish, combine the strawberries, sugar and vanilla seeds. Let sit for 5 minutes to let the sugar melt slightly.
- Roast for 20 minutes or until the strawberries are glazed in sugar and the cooking juices are thick and syrupy. Let cool. Transfer to an airtight container.
- The strawberries will keep for 2 weeks in the refrigerator. Delicious served over cake or in a frozen dessert, such as our peanut butter and jelly sundae.
NOTE
Roasting strawberries concentrates their flavour resulting in a taste that resembles homemade strawberry pie.
