Mix together the tamari, olive oil, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and honey in a shallow dish. Place tofu cubes in marinade and coat well. Marinate in refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Oven directions: Preheat the oven to 220 °C (425 °F). Cover a baking sheet with foil. Barbecue directions: Preheat barbecue to medium-high.

Alternately thread tofu cubes, fennel, and red peppers onto each skewer.

Oven directions: Place skewers on the baking sheet. Bake for 20–25 minutes, turning the oven to broil for the last few minutes. Barbecue directions: Grill about 5 minutes, turning at the halfway point. Serve with rice and a green salad.
Oven cooking tip: Not in the mood for skewers? Arrange all ingredients on a parchment-lined baking sheet instead and bake for 25 minutes at 220 °C (425 °F).
