Sweet & sour chicken wings

Ingredients

  1. 900 g (2 lb.) plain chicken wings
  2. 30 mL (2 tbsp.) chopped fresh cilantro
  3. 1 lime, cut into wedges

Sweet & sour sauce

  1. 250 mL (1 cup) ketchup
  2. 60 mL (¼ cup) molasses
  3. 30 mL (2 tbsp.) soy sauce
  4. 30 mL (2 tbsp.) white vinegar
  5. 15 mL (1 tbsp.) chopped fresh ginger
  6. 1 clove of garlic, chopped
  7. 15 mL (1 tbsp.) Sriracha sauce

Directions

  1. Mix together all sauce ingredients in a bowl. 
  2. Add the chicken wings and marinate in the fridge at least 2 hours or overnight. 
  3. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). 
  4. Place chicken wings on a parchment-lined baking sheet. 
  5. Bake for about 40 minutes, turning them over at the midway point. 
  6. Serve with the fresh cilantro and lime wedges.
