Ingredients

1 bunch broccoli, cut into florets

1 teaspoon (5 ml) toasted sesame oil

1/4 cup (60 ml) vegetable oil

1/2 red bell pepper, cut into thin strips

1/2 yellow bell pepper, cut into thin strips

1 small onion, sliced

Grated zest of 1 orange

Grated zest of 1 lime

2 cloves garlic, chopped
-
1 tablespoon (15 ml) chopped fresh ginger

2 tablespoons (30 ml) finely chopped fresh lemongrass

1 lb (454 g) inside round or top sirloin of beef, sliced

1 tablespoon (15 ml) white wine vinegar
-
1/4 cup (60 ml) soy sauce

1 tablespoon (15 ml) molasses

1/4 cup (60 ml) flat-leaf parsley, chopped

2 green onions, sliced

1 tablespoon (15 ml) sushi ginger, chopped

Directions

In a wok or large frying pan over high heat, sauté the broccoli in the sesame oil and 30 ml (2 tablespoons) vegetable oil, about 3 minutes. Add the peppers and onion and continue sautéeing until the vegetables are crisp-tender, about 4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.

In the same wok over high heat, stir-fry the zest, garlic, ginger and lemongrass in the remaining oil for about 30 seconds. Add the beef and brown. Add the vinegar, soy and molasses. Bring to a boil and add the vegetables. Stir to combine. Adjust the seasoning. Delicious with rice noodles.
Garnish
- Place all the ingrédients in a nice plate. Serve as a dressing aside.
