Ingredients

1/2 lemon, quartered

1 tbsp (15 ml) vegetable oil

1 red pepper, seeded and cubed

1 lb (450 g) shrimp, with or without tails, peeled and deveined (20-30)

1 garlic clove, chopped

¼ tsp red pepper flakes

1 green onion, thinly sliced

2 tbsp butter

Directions

In a large skillet over high heat, brown the lemon in the oil until caramelized.

Add the pepper and cook for 1 minute. Add the shrimp, garlic and red pepper flakes and cook for 2 minutes.

Add the green onion and butter to the skillet. Continue cooking until the butter has melted, stirring well to coat the shrimp. Season with salt and pepper.
