Sesame Horchata by Monsieur Cocktail
Sesame Horchata

Ingredients

  1. 250 mL (1 cup) sesame seeds
  2. 750 mL (3 cups) cold water
  3. 250 mL (1 cup) milk
  4. 80 mL (1/3 cup) Monsieur Cocktail Grenadine du terroir
  5. 1 vanilla bean, cut, opened and scraped to extract caviar inside
  6. 250 mL (1 cup) cubed strawberries
  7. 125 mL (1/2 cup) brown sugar

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, soak sesame seeds in water overnight.
  2. Strain seeds and keep water.
  3. Steep sesame seeds in milk, grenadine, vanilla, and strawberries for 3 hours.
  4. Sift mixture in a carafe and dilute with remaining water.
  5. Add brown sugar and stir with a bar spoon.
  6. Refrigerate and serve chilled.
