Sesame and poppy seed points

Sesame and poppy seed points

Ingredients

4 whole wheat pitas
30 mL (2 tbsp.) olive oil
15 mL (1 tbsp.) sesame seeds
10 mL (2 tsp.) poppy seeds
To taste, salt and pepper

Directions

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Brush pitas with olive oil and scatter on sesame and poppy seeds. Season to taste.
With a knife or kitchen scissors, cut pitas into chips.
Bake on a baking sheet for 7 or 8 minutes, until crispy and golden.
Serve with hummus, dip, or chili.

Chef’s secret

If you wish, you can add seasonings, such as Italian herbs, paprika, or even finely grated Parmesan cheese.
