Tofu Stir-Fry with Sour Orange Sauce

Ingredients

  1. 1 package (450 g) extra firm tofu, drained and cubed
  2. 22.5 mL (1 1/2 tbsp.) cornstarch
  3. 15 mL (1 tbsp.) canola oil
  4. To taste pepper
  5. 1 package (500 g) frozen Asian-style vegetables
  6. 125 mL (1/2 cup) gluten-free orange sauce
  7. 15 mL (1 tbsp.) tamari sauce
  8. 5 mL (1 tsp.) sriracha
  9. 1 package (300 g) rice vermicelli

Directions

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil.
  2. Roll tofu cubes in cornstarch to coat.
  3. In a skillet, heat oil and sauté tofu cubes for 2 to 3 minutes until lightly browned. Remove tofu from skillet. Set aside.
  4. Add Asian vegetables to skillet and cook for 5 minutes or until heated through.
  5. Meanwhile, combine orange sauce, tamari sauce and sriracha to make the sauce. Set aside.
  6. Cook rice vermicelli in boiling water for 3 minutes.
  7. Combine tofu, vegetables, sauce and rice vermicelli.
