Salmon Casserole

Ingredients

  1. 15 mL (1 tbsp) butter
  2. 875 mL (3-1/2 cups) medium egg noodles
  3. 1 can (213 g) canned salmon, drained
  4. 30 mL(2 tbsp) chopped dill
  5. 375 mL (1-1/2 cups) shredded Swiss cheese
  6. 125 mL (1/2 cup) milk
  7. 1 can (284 mL / 10 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  8. 1 onions finely chopped
  9. 1 stalks celery, finely chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cook noodles according to package directions and set aside.
  3. Melt butter; cook onions and celery until tender. Stir in soup and milk; cook and stir until smooth.
  4. Stir in 250 mL (1 cup) cheese and dill; cook and stir until cheese melts. In 2 L (8 inches)baking dish layer half the noodles; top with half of the sauce and all of the salmon.
  5. Top with remaining noodles, sauce and cheese. Sprinkle dill over top. Top with remaining noodles, sauce and cheese.
  6. Bake, uncovered for 20 minutes.
