Pear and Cranberry Crisp

Ingredients

125 ml (1/2 cup) brown sugar
175 ml (3/4 cup) whole wheat flour
250 ml (1 cup) rolled oats
1 ml (1/4 tsp.) ground cloves
1 ml (1/4 tsp.) ginger
1 ml (1/4 tsp.) cinnamon
30 ml (2 tbsp.) orange juice
125 ml (1/2 cup) dried cranberries
2 red Anjou pears, peeled and diced
2 Bartlett pears, peeled and diced
4 Rocha pears, peeled and diced
125 ml (1/2 cup) butter

Directions

Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
Combine pears and dried cranberries with orange juice and spices.
Place in a lightly greased baking dish.
In a bowl, combine remaining ingredients, except butter.
Cream butter and mix with dry ingredients.
Spread this mixture over the fruit.
Bake about 30 minutes.
Serve warm with pear slice garnishes.
