Nagano Pork Mini Burgers

Ingredients

  1. 1 kg (2 lb) ground Nagano porc
  2. 1 small onion
  3. 60 ml (1/4 cup) bread crumbs
  4. To taste, salt and pepper
  5. 8 mini hamburger buns
  6. 1 pear
  7. 125 g (1/2 lb) brie
  8. 250 ml (1 cup) mâche

Directions

  1. Preheat the barbecue to medium-high.
  2. Mix ground pork, onion, and bread crumbs together in a bowl and season to taste. Shape mixture into 8 thin mini patties.
  3. Place on the barbecue grill and cook 4 to 5 minutes per side, or until meat is no longer pink and internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F). Place hamburger buns on upper grill for about 2 minutes or until warm.
  4. When mini patties are cooked, top each one with a slice of brie and cook 1 more minute or until cheese begins to melt.
  5. Place a brie-topped pork mini patty on each bun and garnish with mâche and a slice of pear.
