Linguine with fresh tomato sauce

Ingredients

  1. 1 package (375 g) whole wheat linguini
  2. 30 mL (2 tbsp.) olive oil
  3. 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  4. 20 cherry tomatoes, halved
  5. 30 mL (2 tbsp.) fresh basil, chopped
  6. To taste, salt and pepper

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan of boiling salted water, cook pasta according to the instructions on the package. 
  2. Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sauté garlic for 1 to 2 minutes. Add tomatoes and sauté for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add basil about 1 minute before end of cooking. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve over cooked linguine.
