Hot chocolate with cinnamon

Ingredients

  1. 75 mL (⅓ cup) granulated white sugar
  2. 5 mL (1 tsp.) cornstarch
  3. 75 mL (⅓ cup) cocoa powder
  4. 2 mL (½ tsp.) cinnamon
  5. 45 mL (3 tbsp.) chopped semi-sweet chocolate
  6. 30 miniature marshmallows

Directions

  1. Combine the sugar and cornstarch in a bowl and then combine the cocoa powder and cinnamon in another bowl.
  2. Put the cinnamon-cocoa mixture into a transparent 250 mL (1 cup) container. Add the sugar-cornstarch mixture on top without mixing, and then, create a third layer with the chopped chocolate. Finish by adding the marshmallows on top.
  3. Before preparing your hot chocolate, shake to mix the ingredients together.
  4. For one serving of hot chocolate, add 45 mL (3 tbsp.) of the mixture to 375 mL (1½ cups) of hot milk.
