Homemade tzatziki

Homemade tzatziki

Ingredients

4 field cucumbers
500 mL (2 cups) plain Greek yogurt
2 cloves garlic, minced
15 mL (1 tbsp.) each of chopped fresh mint and dill
45 mL (3 tbsp.) lemon juice
30 mL (2 tbsp.) olive oil
To taste, salt and pepper

Directions

Slice cucumbers lengthwise and remove seeds.
Shred cucumbers, season with salt, and place in a sieve to drain for at least one hour.
Add the other ingredients and mix together.

Nutrition tip

Delicious so many ways: with chicken brochettes, as a dip for pita bread and veggies, or spread on a sandwich.
