Ingredients

440 g 1 package chicken-flavoured seitan, cut into cubes

½ pineapple, peeled and cubed

1 red onion, cubed

1 red bell pepper, cubed
-
1 orange bell pepper, cubed

375 mL 1 ½ cups bottled barbecue sauce

To taste fresh herbs

Directions
- Arrange the skewer ingredients on your work surface.
- On each skewer, pierce a piece of red onion, followed by pieces of red and orange pepper, seitan, and pineapple. Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients.
- Cook the skewers for 2 minutes on each side on a hot barbecue, 230 C to 260 C (450 F to 500 F).
- Brush with the bottled barbecue sauce while cooking.
- Serve immediately, with the remaining sauce and fresh herbs.
Chef’s Secret
- Seitan is pre-cooked, all you need to do is heat it up. To maintain its flavour and texture, avoid overcooking.
