- Butter all slices of bread on one side. Spread four slices of bread with mustard and jam on the non-buttered side. Top with arugula, apple slices, a slice of cheese, two pieces of bacon, and another slice of cheese. Top with the four other slices of bread (buttered-side out).
- Cook sandwiches in a large, non-stick skillet over medium-low heat, until golden brown. Turn over before they become too dark brown and then cook until cheese melts. Cut sandwiches in half and serve.

You can replace the bacon with slices of white ham.
