Ingredients

1 loaf of bread, about 500-600 g

15 mL (1 tbsp.) mayonnaise, divided

15 mL (1 tbsp.) Dijon mustard, divided

½ romaine lettuce

250 g Oka L’Artisan cheese, cut into 10-12 thin slices, divided

175 g thinly sliced turkey (about 10-12 slices)

1 tomato, sliced
-
1 avocado, thinly sliced
-
To taste, fresh basil leaves (optional)

175 g thinly sliced ham (about 10-12 slices)

One pinch black pepper
-
6-8 toothpicks

Directions
- Cut top off loaf and remove bread from inside, leaving 2 cm (1 in.) inside the crust.
- Fill inside of loaf with ingredients in this order: half the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard, lettuce, half the cheese, and then the remaining ingredients, finishing with remaining cheese.
- Season with pepper before spreading with remaining mayonnaise and mustard. Replace top of loaf and hold it in place with toothpicks.
- Refrigerate at least 15 minutes before cutting it into pieces and serving.
