Buffalo chicken ring

Ingredients

  1. 2 cans Pillsbury refrigerated crescent rolls

Chicken filling

  1. 625 mL (2½ cups) coarsely chopped cooked barbecue chicken
  2. 60 mL (¼ cup) Sensations by Compliments Kansas City Style Smokey Barbecue Sauce
  3. 60 mL (¼ cup) chopped green onions
  4. 310 mL (1¼ cups) shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Sauce

  1. 175 mL (⅔ cup) sour cream
  2. 5 mL (1 tsp.) lime zest (about 1 lime)
  3. 10 mL (2 tsp.) lime juice

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Line a rimless baking sheet with parchment paper and place the triangles of dough in a sunshine-like pattern with an empty circle in the middle and the points on the outside (see image 1). 
  3. Combine all filling ingredients in a bowl. 
  4. Spoon the filling onto the pastry around the empty circle (see image 2).
  5. Fold dough over the filling and seal (see image 3). 
  6. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
  7. Meanwhile, mix all ingredients for sauce in a bowl. Place lime sauce in middle of the ring.
