Air Fryer Popcorn Chicken

Serves 2 - 4

Ingredients

  1. 500 g (1 lb.) boneless chicken thighs, cut into pieces
  2. 250–375 mL (1–1 ½ cups) buttermilk
  3. 3 mL (½ tsp.) garlic powder
  4. 3 mL (½ tsp.) paprika
  5. 3 mL (½ tsp.) salt
  6. 3 mL (½ tsp.) ground pepper

Breading

  1. 250 mL (1 cup) flour
  2. 5 mL (1 tsp.) salt
  3. 3 mL (½ tsp.) pepper

Directions

  • In a bowl, combine chicken pieces, buttermilk and spices.
  • Let marinate for at least 2 hours, or up to 12.
  •  Preheat air fryer according to manufacturer instructions (195°C/380°F – Chicken).
  •  In a bowl, mix flour, salt and pepper.
  • Coat chicken pieces in flour mixture. 
  • Place chicken pieces in the air fryer and spray lightly with oil (or PAM).
  • Cook for 20–25 minutes or until fully cooked, turning halfway through cooking.

Serve immediately with your favourite dipping sauce.
